MID MONTH

June was pretty much a fulfilling month.
From mugging for my paper, to settling new accounts at work, travelling to Hong Kong, and catching up with friends.

Had Box n Sticks with the usuals on Wednesday, and met up with Syariah & Anna just this evening over PasarBella.

It's always nice knowing how friends around me are getting their BTOs, settling down with their partners, and how all these little steps allow them to grow together with their other half as a person.
While some others talk about work, stress levels, and finding new jobs.

And yes, Night Owl Cinematic: Food King came to Poh Cheu just yesterday!
Ryan told my mum he has been eating our kueh since secondary school and yesterday, they were there to film for next Friday's YouTube video.
Can't wait to see how many stars we are rated by them :)

Half a year is down in a blink of an eye.
Think back what I have achieved and sometimes I hope time could pass just a little faster.
So many things the future Jared wants to achieve and experience.
I can't wait.

HONG KONG 2017

Landed in Macau on Tuesday evening and met up with the family for dinner.
Satisfied my Lord Stow's cravings (yasssss), visited St. Paul's & Senado Square, had the localised dimsum for the first time.
Monsoon season honestly is the worse time to travel tho.

This was where all our dreams came true!
After returning back to HK, we headed to Disneyland the next day and man, it was so so fun!
Managed to cover all the rides (that we wanted) and went on twice for the Star Wars roller coaster.
The heat didn't stop us from running around the parks, catching shows, waiting for the night carriage performance and camping for the fireworks.
The pictures doesn't do justice for the spectacular performance we had.

Over the next couple of days, we visited some of their attractions such as the Lantau Island, The Peak - Trick Eye Museum and Madam Tussauds, a few night markets and the nearby shopping centers.
Glad everyone had their fair share of fun at the attractions and Grandpa was so enthusiastic at the Trick Eye!
Tried Australian Dairy Company for the first time, food was okay but I dislike the locals, their attitude sucks.

Nonetheless it was a good 6 days breaks before heading back to work tomorrow.
I can foresee piles of work waiting for me already.

Here's to the next vacation.

TAX OUT

Happy to say that, T A X is O V E R!

I have started counting down to 1.15pm today since 2 days ago and I cannot be happier.
On my way to the exam venue this morning I had some severe tummy ache, goosebumps all over (it lasted from Raffles Place to Jurong East by the way) 😰
I thought I was gonna die (of anxiousness), on one hand I tell myself I can't fail (cos the school fees costs $2k+ haha), on the other I wasn't at all confident.

Thankful for this happy/annoying/lucky pill who kept me going all the way till before I went in the exam hall.
Now that exam is over, I have 3 months worth of freedom and it's time for a trip!

Counting down to 1 week before HK, 1 day to meeting my girls and 1 hour to meeting H.

So blessed.

GRANNY'S 70TH

Held granny's 70th birthday at Ah Yat last Sunday.
Look at that genuine smile on her face, though she can be quite oblivious to her surroundings, I guess she must be happy that night.
Full attendance.
All of us know that her wish was for this family photo, which she kept reminding me to bring my camera.

There are people we dislike, there are people whom we judge, but ultimately it's those who are able to forgive achieve the greatest thing in life.
Every family have their own story, the smiles that everyone sees may not be what it is, but one day, I genuinely wish for us to be united again.
How I missed for the cousins to be chatty again, playful together again.

So many emotions as I'm typing this.
After all, we are a family.

85TH MONTHSARY

Me: "What would you like to have this Friday?"
H: "Hmm Jap or Italian?"
Me: "Okay let's do Italian!"

So here we are, back to my/our favourite Italian place - Bruno's.
Their dishes never fail, and there's this thing about Italian that I like about. And their bread is one I never get sick of.
Look at H with that cheerful smile, and just a second before I took that I said to him, "Can you smile?"
Snap.
Cute.

Today was exactly what I needed after a stressful month, a breather for H after some really tough times at work.
Things were always made better when I'm with him, and I often imagine what if we just elope away from all these troubles 😂
H will probably ask me, "Then where will our income come from?" - just the super realistic way, I'm too much into K dramas.
Nonetheless, weeknights like these are gem, I couldn't ask for more.

Less than 2 weeks to exam, I just gotta embrace this and go in the exam hall with a positive mind.
Less than 3 weeks to Hong Kong, please let this be good.
