MID MONTH

June was pretty much a fulfilling month.
From mugging for my paper, to settling new accounts at work, travelling to Hong Kong, and catching up with friends.

Had Box n Sticks with the usuals on Wednesday, and met up with Syariah & Anna just this evening over PasarBella.

It's always nice knowing how friends around me are getting their BTOs, settling down with their partners, and how all these little steps allow them to grow together with their other half as a person.
While some others talk about work, stress levels, and finding new jobs.

And yes, Night Owl Cinematic: Food King came to Poh Cheu just yesterday!
Ryan told my mum he has been eating our kueh since secondary school and yesterday, they were there to film for next Friday's YouTube video.
Can't wait to see how many stars we are rated by them :)

Half a year is down in a blink of an eye.
Think back what I have achieved and sometimes I hope time could pass just a little faster.
So many things the future Jared wants to achieve and experience.
I can't wait.

GOOD FRIDAY

Cheers to the long weekend I finally got to rest.
Good Friday was fully utilised: Running in the morning followed by JB with H's parents.
Jam into JB was unimaginable. Traffic condition definitely did not improve towards the noon and we were caught for a good 2.5 hours.
The return trip was slightly better - 1.5 hours.
It was probably toughest on both H and his dad, lucky for them I managed to catch some sleep on the way back to prepare myself for class today.

Sometimes I think H can read my mind.
He is ever so well prepared when it comes to me.
We had porridge at my favourite Joo Chiat shop which was comforting enough to tide me through the 3 hours Tax lecture.
Towards the noon we literally combed every corner of MBS while passing time till 6 when we met his friends for dinner.
Artbox was crazily packed with people, we left 5 mins after seeing the crowd, not stalls.

& I realised I'm posting a little more often now, especially after I got my hands on this MacBook Air here.
It was one of the best decisions made, no regrets whatsoever, I truly enjoy doing my research, leisure readings, video watching and even listening to my classical hits while studying with it.

Super long and tiring 2 days, I'm gonna crash now.
Goodnight world.

WEEK 50

 Weekends were pretty much relaxed.
Had the last Christmas gathering with the usuals over at Bird's tropical penthouse!
It was so pretty and i couldn't stop exploring the house haha.
Thank you for having us over and for the steamboat prepared 💕

Then come Saturday where Hans and i went for a swim to kick start the day.
Never felt like this chill for a long time, December was quite a busy month.
It was then hanging out then dinner with his family and supper with mine 🍴

Sunday was spend packing up for Japan (less than 5 days now!)
Grandpa's one was the fastest checked and the rest of us have some other stuff lying around waiting to be fully packed in.
& here are the amount of clothing for me myself and i.
Seems pretty decent for a 9 days trip, i guess.

5 more days, till i see you, Japan ~

WEEK 49

☕: Stateland Cafe

Met up with these 2 over Stateland on Saturday, kinda glad to know everyone has their own route sorted out, just a matter of time before things fall into place.
On a side note, Stateland was 👍, first time there and i love their toast!

Afterwards it was some time with Hans & soccer.
Was so fascinated by the Snapchat's effects (call me slow) and here's one of them.
And this little one never fails to get all excited when she sees me, leaving so many scratch marks on my thigh as a sign of welcoming.
Well, i'm giving credit to her cuteness so i'll accept that!
Then it was Sunday's wedding date with Caly at ParkRoyal.
Seeing people getting married makes me want to too (oops), but nope, i'm sticking to the plan.
Thank you for having me as your date haha.

Counting down to less than 3 weeks now to Japan!
And while i'm typing this, i could feel the butterflies in my stomach.
All the clothes to bring - checked, passport - checked, humans - checked.
We're left with the last bit of tidying up the itinerary, purchasing of a few tickets and we're ready to go!
A much needed break.

BIRTHDAY WEEK 3: COCOBOLO POOLSIDE BAR

Back to work after the short break and glad it's a short work week!
Had my birthday dinner with the bunch at Cocobolo Poolside Bar @ Park Hotel yesterday.
Food was great and ambiance even better. They have limited seating and that's what makes it exquisite.
Thank you guys, for everything.

And i got the news from work that my boss will be treating everyone to movie next Tuesday, and the best part, during work hours!
Looking forward to next week and meeting my girls for dinner <:

THE LONG WEEKEND

Celebrated Terry's birthday with the peeps on Friday night.
The sushi bar followed by Ohma Spoon for dessert.
Somethings never change :)

And it was finally the long weekends!
Started off with brunch with Hans, then movie and dinner for Grandpa's birthday.
Not forgetting, he's here to stay for the night!
Was testing out my XiaoYi while he was so engrossed with his game with bro.
Love the wide angles for now and I definitely hope it will be able to last through all my trips :)
Teppanyaki tomorrow and I can't wait, so not looking forward to Tuesday cos this closing month is driving me cray cray.

FEBRUARY

 Hello Feburary,
A month has passed and how time flies, without me knowing what i have achieved the past month.
Decisions after decisions to be made, and considerations after considerations.

Aside from all these, had dinner at Vineyard with Hans last night and it feels nice to have a romantic (i would say) dinner once in awhile, well not so very often but, once in awhile.
Though it's been quite some time we are together but the things that lie ahead of us are not gonna be easy, that's for sure. And sometimes, i really don't know how i should be conquering all these.
[In need of some guidence]

Oh, and HBS had a mini chalet over the weekends at Changi CSC.
View was scenic, company was awesome!
And it did took my mind off all the stuff that's ongoing around me.

Only ask for things to fall in place smoothly.
Here's to a great start into the second month of the year.

OCT ~ NOV

It was definitely an overwhelming week for me, with 3 big parties/celebration.
Nonetheless, I'm so glad I (Crumb Bites) could be part of these events!
Momsie's birthday on Friday, and I made her a Coffee walnut cake.
Wasn't sure at all how this will turn out with the family but the response was good I was so super touched!
Happy to see mom enjoying herself on this very big day of hers and that everyone, well almost all, could be here with her.
& yesterday was Clement's birthday surprise!
So everyone knew about this whole plan except for the birthday boy, and his expression when he entered the chalet was priceless <:
Red velvet 9" cake for the birthday boy!

And today was the full month celebration of Wanyi's baby boy, Tyler!
He was so adorable and fun to be with, and I'm so happy to see our new mummy here doing all fine.
It definitely put my mind at ease seeing them 2 handling everything well.
Proud of you babe!
On a side note, I've had for them a tier of red velvet and a tier of oreo cupcakes ~

So super glad everything ended on a positive note, and it's the start of November already!
Now it's down to 5 more days till i fly over and hug Hans hehe.
Can't wait to reunite with him again, it's probably been too long we've been apart but i guess we really really learn a lot from his trip this time round, and i'm glad he made this right choice.

(:

OVEREASY

Celebrated my 23rd with the bunch at OverEasy over the week and I really thank them for everything.

This year's birthday seem a lil different, with Hans not being able to be around and such, well I didn't really felt like celebrating too..
Initially everything doesn't seem to go too well for me but eventually, I'm pretty glad i was wrong.
I believe such negativity won't last for long and I will always look on the brighter side of life.
3 more days to turning 23 and I can't wait to see what the future holds for me..

Oh and the brother & Caly got these for me!
Just so super touched :')

THURSDAY

Dim sum yum with the old mates last night, never fail to have the most epic moments, never fail to have endless laughter.
I’m always glad I have them, always.

For now, air tickets checked to Manila, next up will be accommodation.
I can’t wait for November and tho it will be a short stay, I’m contented.

WHAT MATTERS MOST

Over the past week, i spent all my time trying to maximise the amount of time I have left with Hans.
From spending time together with him and his family to him joining my friends and family.
And above it all, we are just glad that we could be each other's support.
Well it will never be easy and now it's down to 3 more days..
Definitely dreading it, but I will still have to face it regardless. And what matters most is that we believe, and trust.
Time will never be enough, and all that we can do is to look forward to the next time we meet again ..

HAPPY PILLS

My weekends were pretty much fulfilling.
Laneway Market x LICK with the happy pills for Charmaine's advanced birthday.
Food was alright, company was thumbs up (Y)

Dinner with the family for Aunt's birthday celebration.
Don't care how i look there but what's important was everyone who's suppose to be in there were there.
Tired as i am, at times like these i felt so thankful.

HO CHI MINH

So i tagged along the Tuesdates to their graduation trip 2015, en route to Ho Chi Minh!
Kinda clueless of what this city can provide us with, we went ahead to venture out (of course we did our part of research!)
Day One was roaming around this small city, Ben Thanh Market - Notre Dame Cathedral - Saigon Central Post Office - Night Markets.
Culture there is very different from Sg too, and needless to say, this goes the same for their traffic.
& the rule of thumb when crossing: JUST DO IT, if not you'll never make it across.

Cu Chi Tunnel was up for Day Two, where we experienced the life of the soldiers back when they were having war.
It was definitely an eye opener, especially the live firing & crawling through the tunnel.
After heading back the city, we visited one of the local cafe.
Speaking of which, HCM has so many cafes to offer! & i was so pleased to know that.

Meandering down the streams of Mekong, we were captivated by the scenery on Day Three, or maybe i was.
I'm always a sucker for nature like these, something we really will never get to experience nor see in Singapore.

Apart from the beautiful nature of HCM, did i mention their food was superb!
Be it cafes or street food, i love them all.
So on Day Four, Hans & i hopped 2 cafes in a row, in addition to having my favourite pho at Ben Thanh with the gang!
We paid a visit to their Saigon Zoo as well as the War Remnant Museum, where my heart goes out to the victims back then.
All the last min shopping & venturing was on Day Five, where we went out of our own district.
A pity we didn't get to visit Mui Ne this time round due to time constraint and if i'm coming back here, i'll be sure i'm going!
Thanks so much for the wonderful memories HCM, as well as the company who braved through everything with me, making sure i was okay and all.

For now, its back to reality ~
