HONG KONG 2018: GIRLS TRIP

It was finally our girls trips after 13 years! And this time, travel dates were gotten right hehe.
Checked off Cha Chan Teng on our 1st day after getting recommendation from our hotel management, trying to blend in with the locals.
Shopping for the rest of the day and concluded with steamboattttt ~

The next day we relieved our childhood at Disneyland, the place all of us really looked forward to!
A little pity the fireworks were called off due to renovation going on.
There was this little girl who was so engrossed watching Mickey floating on the water at the entrance of the park, how cute!
We decided to get the Mickey headbands and not get judged.

Third day was a ferry trip to Lamma Island, where we escaped from the hustle and bustle of the city life for a few hours.
Though we did not discover much from this small island, it was nonetheless a good experience.

& here's a little more of Hong Kong favourites from my album.

It's always good to be travelling and through that, learning to appreciate the culture and trying to blend in with the locals.
Truly blessed to have such opportunities and fortunate enough to travel with good companions.

And focus now: Exams that's due in a month's time and Sydney in 5 weeks!

CHRISTMAS 2017

Christmas brunch with the girls as part of our yearly affair @ Firebake this year.
We practically spent half of our lives together and it's good having them around.
Our agenda up next: planning for HK!

And here's a little something with the family yesterday.
And one with Hans's family on the eve of Christmas.
This year's Christmas was one I looked forward to the most as compared to every other years.
Like they say, as you grow older, you hold things dear to you closer to you.

Last week till the end of the year, and each year it's passing by quicker than the last.
And up till this point in time, 2017 has been pretty awesome for me.
I am counting all my blessings and should feel very contented.
The best choice I have made? I shall keep it to myself for now.

Hokkaido this week and i will check in here again next year.
Till then ~

BIRTHDAY III: KEEPERS

🍴: Marriott Cafe

Birthday dinner with the girls last night at Marriott.
It was of good food, and good company.
I guess they say friends go a long way with you, and these two are definitely one of them.
Thank you girls for the present and everything.

Its amazing how people can come together again after years of separation, not meeting due to various reasons.
And how a simple occasion spark the thought of coming together once again.
Friends are hard to come by, and those who stay are even harder.

I will learn to cherish each and everyone who comes by and stay.

JAS TWENTY FIFTH

🍴: Knots Cafe and Living

Brunch with the girls today for Jas's birthday.
The place was so cozy and we were so glad there weren't much people there, nice and quaint place to hang out for sure.
As you can tell, our brunch was so full-filling!
Oh, and one more item off our checklist cos,

WE ARE GONNA PLAN A TRIP TOGETHER!

This may not be a huge thing for others but we have been close friends for the past 10 years and this is gonna be our first ever trip out together.
Really looking forward to this.

AND,
I am going Hokkaido year end!!!!
It's gonna be winter and there will be snow all over the place 😍
The night I booked my flight I could not sleep till almost 1am, on a Monday.
Can you imagine my excitedness that was overflowing!
One more month now to Osaka, I am already planning what I want to bring there ~

TODDLER TYLER

Visited Wanyi & Tyler last weekend and it was so well spent!
He was so shy to begin with, hugging his mummy so tightly.
When he saw his favourite blue car rolling towards me, that was when he started opening himself.
Just look at those adorable eyes!
Before I went back, he even kissed me goodbye 😍

And just recently, I wonder what is it I really want.
Still seeking for that answer...

HUSTLE AND BUSTLE

Have been busy the past week but it's all good!
Met up my favourite Tyler Mama (Wanyi) on Tuesday over Beauty in a Pot and honestly, i'm sold!
It was so good, and almost comparable if not, better than HDL 😍
Sometimes life doesn't go our way, and sometimes we try to find comfort in other things,
I only wish that things will be much smoother from now, and that i'll always have your back!

Wednesday was spent with the girls for Charmaine's birthday over Smoke & Mirrors.
Dined with a view for sure, and we kinda relieved our younger days, snapping selfies like no one's watching, as the sky went from bright to dark.
Been with these girls for more than 10 years, and sometimes I can't be more grateful to have them.

Finally it was the short week i was waiting for so so long!
Took a day off work and went on a road trip to JB with Hans.
We took things slow this time round, checked our errands while taking coffee breaks in between.
Visited this cafe - Eco Palladium,
where it was said that Jay Chou filmed his MV here.
Not too sure which MV was that, but one thing for sure it's a good chill out place with no disturbance from the hustle and bustle of the big city.
Road trips to Malaysia were always made possible thanks to Hans, tho he loves to nag ~

And as busy as it is, I'm still thankful for the fruitful week.
To another long week, I'm ready for you.

Counting down to 2 more weeks till Genting 😌

YAYOI KUSAMA

Visited Yayoi Kusama's exhibition today after work with these 2 on Friday.
Was trying my best to appreciate her artwork, but honestly, I still do not have a clue on what's going on, it just seems like her life is a complexity.
Conclusion: Everyone probably just went there for Insta-worthy photos rather than appreciating, or maybe just a minority do.

Weekends were rather relaxing.
So glad I got school sorted out, and it's back to being a student in one month's time.
Coming weeks will be pretty busy but I know it's gonna be good, so much to look forward to!
July's gonna be another fast month, I can't wait for time to pass faster, and faster ~

KILO

Weeknight with Hans over at Kilo for dinner.
Thanks to the early bird special we got to save quite a fair bit whilst having really good food! And also for 1-for-1 for drinks ~
Nothing beats chatting over great dinner on a weekday with Hans.

Sea Urchin - Spicy Duck Salad - Prawn Raviolis - Rib-lets - Churros
I loved almost all the dishes we chose (some recommended) and told him - Let's come back here to try out their other dishes.

Not forgetting Mariah, who checked on us every now and then, making sure both Hans & I were comfortable and food was alright. Happy that she's doing something she really love, and definitely great seeing her again 😃

Twas was a perfect midweek date.

WEEK 11

March has been pretty of a rocky hill.
Nonetheless, weekends were always made better when i'm with H.
& just last Sunday, the girls and i had steamboat lunch over at Charm's.
- How can 3 girls have steamboat, it's so neither here nor there.
There you go.
Visited the container houses over at Punggol (Tebing lane i think) and this was the view we got while having our binggsu.
Here's one from Clover to kick start the week.
Counting down to 4 more days till my next holiday 🚀

JANUARY BABY

Met up with Mama Tyler over dinner at Tendon Kohaku and it honestly brought me back to Japan!
So many things alike - Setup, seating, menu selections, food.
It' always good to see her after so long, and i'm always glad i have her, can't believe it's been almost 5 years since i know this lady here.
For sharing so much with me, listening to me, and letting me know we have so much in common.
Can't wait to go over and visit Tyler one day.

At times things may not go your way, but never give up,
- because you know it will all fall in place one day.

WEEK 50

 Weekends were pretty much relaxed.
Had the last Christmas gathering with the usuals over at Bird's tropical penthouse!
It was so pretty and i couldn't stop exploring the house haha.
Thank you for having us over and for the steamboat prepared 💕

Then come Saturday where Hans and i went for a swim to kick start the day.
Never felt like this chill for a long time, December was quite a busy month.
It was then hanging out then dinner with his family and supper with mine 🍴

Sunday was spend packing up for Japan (less than 5 days now!)
Grandpa's one was the fastest checked and the rest of us have some other stuff lying around waiting to be fully packed in.
& here are the amount of clothing for me myself and i.
Seems pretty decent for a 9 days trip, i guess.

5 more days, till i see you, Japan ~

EARLY CHRISTMAS

🎄: Fresh Fruits Lab

Christmas exchange + Brunch with the girls yesterday.
FFL was surprisingly good, and we left satisfied ~
Chilled at Charm's over Monopoly deal and we had our exchange, where i almost cried when i opened Jas's present, because she was so thoughtful to include my grandma in our timeline photos..

Thank you girls for being my constant the past 11 years ❤
