WEEK 14

Weekends were pretty much fulfilling.

Spent Saturday catching up a little on studies, researching here and there on the upcoming trips, play time with Clover and dinner with H's family.

Getting a bit greedier these days when it comes to time with H.

I always say 'Anywhere is fine as long as i'm with you' but subconsciously i was demanding more.

Think i should keep my words towards him from now on.

Appreciate more, demand less.

Sunday was rather simple.

Breakfast with grandpa and mum followed by some errands running, studying (while searching for flights - i never get bored of this), dinner.

Grandpa was tempted to visit Manila after i showed him my travel pictures.

Yesterday was the second time he prompted the question - i think we should go.

Travel dates are the issue now due to all our various work obligations.

Please come to an agreement soon!

On a side note, my Instagram's flooded with Tokyo's cherry blossom, everyone is in Tokyo!
Can't wait for Osaka already ~~~

Just a little on Crumb Bites here.

Business is slowing down A LOT but i've got to confess i haven't been very active lately too.

Brought in some new cake toppers and candles some time back and i finally found the time to snap it yesterday.

It's all about GOLD & SILVER.

OCTOBER '16

Celebrated mum's birthday at Carlton Hotel yesterday with the family.

It's our first year without grandma around for all our birthdays and something definitely feels missing.

Nonetheless, i'm pretty sure she was here with us all along <':

And here are some of the bakes i've been working on the last week!

Glad to say all these are going up on my selling list!

A brand new month tomorrow and i know it will be good.

So many plans in mind i wanna execute and hopefully time allows for it.

LIL JB TRIP

 My much anticipated JB trip finally was here on Saturday!

Jam was terrible tho, a total of almost 6 hours spent to and fro.

Tried out some new food places on this trip, Seven Oaks (for their salted egg croissant!), beef soup, The Catch Seafood etc.

Not forgetting all our buys, got a new pair of Nike Kaishi, all prepped up for Japan!

& all credit goes to the man here, who never fails to accommodate to all my wants ~

Oh, a lil update on Crumb Bites:

We just gave out 4 boxes of Oreo cupcakes to our 4 lucky winners in this giveaway!

So glad everyone enjoyed them and we've gotten positive feed backs :)

On a side note, I love how the Kraft boxes blends in so well.

On sick leave for now so gonna rest up the next 2 days.

So glad the haze cleared up or it could have been worse.

Exams are finally over, one down.

Can't wait for results to be released to know how i've fair, probably the first time feeling this way.

Anwy, brought Clover for her class today and was super amazed how well behaved she is now! Super proud of you :) 

My weekends never felt this chillax in a long while ~

Enjoyed every single moment of it, no regrets.

Oh, and today's granny's birthday!

Did this purple rosette layered with blueberry for her, one of her favourite colour and flavour!

Hope you're able to see it from up there, knowing that each and everyone of us here misses you, every minute of our lives.

LES MIS

 Caught Les Mis with Hans yesterday and it was good!

Thought i might prefer the others that i've watched but this was worth it.

Barossa for dinner after that and was awesome too!

Everything was well except i wasn't so cos of headache :(

Nonetheless, it was a memorable monthsary ~ 

And today's off to deliver some cakes!

Some of the items ordered by a customer and was glad all turn out well.

Satisfied ~~

And for now, time to take some lil break.

SATURDAY

 Saturday's finally here, was looking forward to it though it didn't turn out too well to start the day.

All is good i guess, just hope it'll be etched deeply in my mind.

Clover was being naughty today again, and one new thing happened, her tooth dropped!

You're growing up too fast Clover ~

Oh, Hans and i collected one of the popular home baker cupcakes today: Nasi Lemak cupcakes!

Was so tempted by the name of it i had to try some.

 Unique as it sounds, the taste was pretty interesting too!

Lucky for the 1-for-1 promo i got it at a decent price.

It then got me thinking how i can also cater to the local taste hmmmm.

On a side note, Crumb Bites has launched a new bake today!

The classic Pandan Layer Cake, and responses were good too!

School has been pretty much the same, counting down (not) to one more month before exams.

Truth is, i'm pretty scared.

No backing out from here, i can only pass this.

Grandpa is recovering well but i think i jeopardized his healing process when i offered him the Nasi Lemak cupcake earlier.

The sambal inside got him coughing again, which made me REALLY guilty :( 

Sincerely hope he'll recover soon, and that Grandma will watch over him from above.

(Miss you a lot too Grandma, thanks for letting me dream of you the other day :') )

JUNE

 It's mid month in the blink of an eye.

Some decisions made, some progression in life i guess.

Had our monthsary dinner at Gin Khao tonight and it was great, tho a bit pricey.

Studies started for now and let's see how it goes.

Oh, and there's some progression for Crumb Bites too!

1. There will be new launch this week (2 Bakes!) and one of them is Durian cake below

DAY 137

Nowadays all i look forward to are the weekends.

And i was glad the last weekend was pretty fulfilling!

Attended Angeline's wedding and i feel so happy every time i see a new couple getting married, makes me wanna get married too hahaha.

For now, i can't wait for the weekends to arrive already (Desaruuuuuu!)

& also, fast forward time please, i wanna go for all my trips already ~

APRIL'16

Second day into the first week of April.

Been pretty busy recently but things are getting me going, so i guess it isn't that bad.

Meeting up with people i've missed, slowly getting back my baking touch, discussing about future plans and trying to spend more time outdoors as much as possible.

Over the weekends, you know what happened with the photo above!

First attempt on Chocolate Banana Cake and it's not the best yet.

Things are definitely a lot different now without grandma around, and i'm still not used to it, the family too.

Visited her niche yesterday and... miss you grandma..

FALLING IN PLACE

Mid month.

Pretty much a lot has taken place just halfway into the beginning of the year.

Hans is back, my studies being postponed, grandma's getting weaker by the days.

But now, i'm glad i have one more pillar to lean on. 

Only need to have more perks now, and I'm always glad i even started Crumb Bites <:

2016

So it's already twenty sixteen.

The last of twenty fifteen was a roller coaster ride for me.

Too much has happened, and i didn't know if i was able to handle.

But for now, i guess things are settling in slowly, and i'm also trying to adapt to the changes.

Now that it's a brand new year, new things should fall in place.

For now, i only wish for Grandma's health to improve, and hoping for Hans to hurry back.

Furthering studies falls under one of my to-check-list too.

Work has been pretty well, so i only wish to learn more there.

& not forgetting Crumb Bites which accompanied me through the second half of last year ~

I'll work on it!

Oh, and i'm having a bakesale for Valentine's Day!

DECEMBER

Just some swiss roll mum & i did over the week.

Log cake orders on Crumb Bites are coming in fast and i'm really glad to be this busy. 

It's really not easy to start this business and hopefully i'm able to sustain it!!

Anyway, it's already towards the end of the month and so much as happened this year.

Changes and adaptation.

Upcoming days might not be easy but i will get through it i'm sure, somehow.

And for now, i cannot wait for 2 things:

- Bkk trip with the family

- Hans's short return in Jan

December, please be a good month to close the year

NOVEMBER BIG BABIES

 Over the weekends we celebrate bro's birthday with daddy's side at Cafe Brio's buffet.

Guess this is what he really wants, quality time with the family rather than an extravagant party.

All was good, but a pity Hans and Belle wasn't there,

& today's the greatest grandpa birthday!

Assisted mummy with this mahjong durain cake for him and look at his wide and heartwarming smile there,

So happy that he is happy and we really have to cherish them while they are still around.

Rough start to the week but all is good now, and hopefully this will continue too.

Being someone who doesn't open up to others when i hit rock bottom, not knowing who to confide in, i'm glad i always have my brother with me.

And for now, just be contented with what i have.

OCT ~ NOV

It was definitely an overwhelming week for me, with 3 big parties/celebration.

Nonetheless, I'm so glad I (Crumb Bites) could be part of these events!

 Momsie's birthday on Friday, and I made her a Coffee walnut cake.

Wasn't sure at all how this will turn out with the family but the response was good I was so super touched!

Happy to see mom enjoying herself on this very big day of hers and that everyone, well almost all, could be here with her.

 & yesterday was Clement's birthday surprise!

So everyone knew about this whole plan except for the birthday boy, and his expression when he entered the chalet was priceless <:

Red velvet 9" cake for the birthday boy!

And today was the full month celebration of Wanyi's baby boy, Tyler!

He was so adorable and fun to be with, and I'm so happy to see our new mummy here doing all fine.

It definitely put my mind at ease seeing them 2 handling everything well.

Proud of you babe!

On a side note, I've had for them a tier of red velvet and a tier of oreo cupcakes ~

So super glad everything ended on a positive note, and it's the start of November already!

Now it's down to 5 more days till i fly over and hug Hans hehe.

Can't wait to reunite with him again, it's probably been too long we've been apart but i guess we really really learn a lot from his trip this time round, and i'm glad he made this right choice.

MOONCAKE FESTIVE

So the mooncake festival is just around the corner, mum & I decided to attend mooncake lessons!

And all I have to do now is to wait for the arrival of November!

However today HDB decided to push back the September BTO launch to November without any warning, and this was what I have been looking forward to so much the past months >;

Well, November is gonna be an exciting month, at least for me ~

BACK TO KITCHEN

& i'm finally back to the kitchen, getting all hands on again.

This week i retry my attempt on Speculoos Cupcake ↑

And this will be on Crumb Bites's this week launch (tomorrow!)

I really want this week to fly pass as soon as possible..

↓ Hans started his 1st day of work in Manila today and i was so happy everything went well.

At least it got him really occupied.

TREETOP WALK

Over the weekends I joined Hans & his family for their healthy outing to MacRitchie Treetop Walk.

We conquered 7km (though that wasn’t the toughest) and though it was quite tiring, it was fun too especially when everyone is together.

The pictures will do all the talking and I was glad I decided to go.

Here’s to a short week ahead and I can’t wait for my long break!
